SPRINGFIELD – State Senator Javier Loera Cervantes is leading a measure to address growing concerns surrounding private equity asset management ownership in health care and human services.
“We want our medical facilities to operate with transparency and accountability,” said Cervantes (D-Chicago). “This legislation would help protect our vulnerable Illinois residents by modernizing state oversight and accountability in our disability service systems.”
CHICAGO – To prevent the “summer slide,” State Senator Javier Loera Cervantes is launching a Summer Reading Club for young residents of the 1st State Senate District.
“When students read over the summer, it enhances their learning ability, helping them continue their academic progress into the following school year,” said Cervantes (D-Chicago). “Reading builds healthy learning habits, setting children up for a successful future.”
CHICAGO – State Senator Javier Loera Cervantes spearheaded a measure that would modify administrator standards for developmental disability centers to be closer to assisted living facilities.
“We want to provide the best possible care for residents with disabilities,” said Cervantes. “This measure increases facilities’ ability to properly care for all of their residents, no matter what disability they have.”
